His death was caused by infection from a bruised ankle when a horse fell with him. His parents moved to Marlow, Oklahoma, in an early day then Alpha came to Roger Mills County in 1898 and filed on land. He married Lydia Weeks of Roll, Oklahoma March 16, 1902. To this union were born four girls and five boys: Mrs. E.L. Archer, Moorewood, Mrs. J.T. Lacey, Strong City; Mrs. Henry Walker, Strong City; Mrs. Clarence Hillman, Crawford; Hosea, Ollie, Loyd, A.T., Jr. and Raymond, all of Strong City. He has four living brothers: Wilson and Omega Leddy of Marlow, Harry Leddy of Antlers and Martin Leddy of Leveland, Texas; also a sister Mrs. Mamie May of Voca, Texas. Mr. Leddy was converted and united with the Methodist church of Marlow when he was nineteen years old. He and his wife reunited with the Methodist church of Roll, Oklahoma in 1908. He was living on his old claim at the time of his death. Interment was in the Silent Home Cemetery, near Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma, April 25, 1935.
