All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Duncan Banner J E Little, 67, Is Found Dead at Home James Edgar Little, 67, well known Duncan grocer and business man for 28 years, died at his home, 711 Sycamore, sometime Saturday night. He was found dead by his wife early Sunday morning. Born February 13, 1880, in DeQueen, Ark., Little married Miss Allie Holt February 4, 1906. They moved to Duncan in 1919 where he was engaged in the grocery business. During the past few years he had been a wholesale drug supply salesman. Little served two terms as a city commissioner here and was actin in business and city affairs. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Methodist Church. Survivors include the widow, Mrs Allie Little, three sons and one daughter. Lester and Clifton Little, both of Tulsa; Raymond Little and Mrs Cecil Crossley both of Duncan; and three grandchildren. Also surviving are six brothers and sisters. Mrs. W W Hopson, Lindsay; Williard Little, Houston; Oscar Little and Mrs Ruby Phillips, both of Dequeen; Mrs Tony McSwain, Coolidge Ariz.; and Mrs Joe Harvey, Oklahoma City. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow in the First Methodist Church with Alfred Grigsby, assistant pastor of the First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Duncan Cemetery with the Rangeley-Holden Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers will be Bill Lipscomb, Jim Frensley, Carl Jones, Sid McCreight, Claud Prichard and Harry Blake, Honary bearers will be B J Parrott, Earnest Winfield, Frank Frensley, Bob Cates and Charles Coker. ============= Daily Oklahoman Little Services are in Duncan Duncan, July 1 -- Rites for James Edgar Little,67, Duncan business man 28 years who died early Sunday in his home, were held Tuesday.
