She graduated from Comanche High School at the age of 16. She became a member of the Church of Christ at the age of 12 and was a faithful member. She was a member of the Daysprings Church of Christ in Edmond at the time of her death. She married Edward A. " Buster" Lilly on March 27 1932. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Karen Sue and Bob Cross of Oklahoma City, two granddaughters, Keli Cross of Oklahoma City and Robin Mathis and her husband Curtis of Broken Arrow, a grandson and his wife, Byron and Carol Lilly of Edmond, a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Lilly Slaughter, four great-grandchildren, Cameron Lilly, Caressia Lilly, Casey Mathis and Katelyn Mathis, a brother-in-law, Gene Lilly of Lawton, two sisters, Dolores Krapp of Port Washington NY and Norma Peck of Wichita Falls, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on July 26 1984, a sister Gertrude Mathhes and her son Tom Lilly on Oct. 18 1990. Funeral services were held in the Hahn-Cook/Street and Draper Chapel in Edmond with Eric King officiating. Burial was in Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Duncan with John Hosch officiating. --------------------------------------------------------------------
