He married Lena Irene Gillman on Aug. 20 1941 in Lawton OK. He was a retired union carpenter. He served in the Second World War in the Navy. Survivors include his wife, Lena, of the home, two sons and daughters-in-law, Ralph Long, Jr. and Dixie Long of Ruidoso NM, Mark and Valerie Long of San Antonio TX, three daughters and two sons-in- law, Virginia Cheryn and Jim Bremer of Perkins, Frances Cathlyn Cohen of Edmond OK, and Phyllis Jeanne and Jerry Garner of Guthrie OK., nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a sister, Rosie Mohr of Sacramento CA, three brothers, Marshall Long, Clarence and wife Beth Long, all of Marlow and Johnny and wife Iva Lee Long of Lawton OK. He was preceded in death by his parents, several brothers and sisters. Funeral services were held in the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Marlow with the hospice chaplain officiating. Burial was in the Mountain View Cemetery near Fletcher OK. --------------------------------------------------------------------
