All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Bakersfield Californian Mayme Lynch-Fields 1912 - 2002 Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 22, 2002 at Hillcrest Cemetery for Mayme L. Lynch-Fields who passed away on Saturday, February 16th. Pastor Dale Howard will officiate. Mayme was born on March 19, 1912 in Loco, Oklahoma to Willard Brown and Mattie Baze-Brown and would have celebrated her 90th birthday this year. She moved to Bakersfield in 1942 and worked as Personnel Director for F.W. Woolworth until her retirement. Several years after her first husband, Elbert (Bud) Lynch passed away, she remarried Charles Fields. Together they traveled throughout the world until his death in 1983. Mayme enjoyed making beautiful heirloom quilts for her family and she enjoyed dancing. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved being with people, especially her family and close friends. Mayme is preceded in death by her husbands, Elbert E. Lynch and Charles Fields, her sons-in-law Rex Kerr and Rod Tyner, her grandson Chuck Lynch, stepdaughter Joy Fields-Coronado and stepgrandson Brian Coronado. She is survived by her daughters, Nadine Kerr and Neva Tyner, and her son Jesse Lynch and daughter-in-law Sylvia Lynch along with granddaughters, Sandi Sam Kerr-Williams, Lori Raprager, Kathryn Goin, and grandsons, Dale Kerr, Steven Dodd, Randy Dodd, Ronald Dodd, David Lynch, Tony Lynch and step-grandchildren Christie Mason and Tom Coronado. She has 30 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
