The Duncan Banner Page 1 June 16, 1972 Carter County Crash Kills Fred Lemmons Fred Lemmons of 1416 Walnut was killed Thursday afternoon in a two vehicle crash on a Carter County road about five miles northeast of Wilson. He was 62. Highway Patrolman Don Roush said the two pickup trucks collided about 4:15 p.m. at an intersection. Wilson Williamson of Healdton, driver of the other vehicle was not injured, Roush said. Both trucks were destroyed, Roush said. Lemmons had been a field mechanic for Mack Oil Co. here since March, 1961. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Madill Church of Christ with burial in the Woodbury Forest Cemetery under direction of the Watts Funeral home there. Lemmons was born Dec. 1, 1909 at Woodville, near Madill. Before joining Mack Oil, he worked as a mechanic for Pure Oil Co., in Ft. Morgan, Colo. He was a member of the Westside Church of Christ here. In addition to his wife, Nobey, of the home, he is survived by on son, Freddy of Mustang, and two daughters, Mrs. Maggie Reznik of Forney, TX, and Mrs. Carmila Taylor of Tulsa. Brothers are Elmer of Madill, L.L., Gene. and Andrew all of Kingston, R.I. of Tishomingo and Dillard of San Angelo, Tex.
