All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Marlow Cemetery--Marlow OK Duncan Banner 12 Mar 2003 Russell Freddie Lawrenz MARLOW - Russell Freddie Lawrenz, 75, of Marlow, who died today in Chickasha, is pending with Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow. ========= Duncan Banner 14 Mar 2003 Russell Freddie Lawrenz MARLOW — Russell Freddie Lawrenz, 75, of Marlow died Wednesday, March 12, 2003, in Grady County Memorial Hospital. Service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Marlow with the Rev. Richard Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home of Marlow. Russell Freddie was born Jan. 14, 1928, in Okarche, to Richard Augusta and Frances Hattie Gleichmann Lawrenz. He graduated from high school in Temple in 1945. He married Patty Ann Hammond on Nov. 14, 1953, in Duncan. Mr. Lawrenz was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Navy. He lived in the Marlow-Duncan area until moving to Guam in 1983. He returned to Marlow and retired as a machinist for the Civil Service in 1990. He was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church and served as an Elder. He was a loving youth group director for many years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard Joseph and Robbie Lawrenz, both of Runaway Bay, Texas, and Paul R. and Yvonne Lawrenz of Navarre, Fla.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Shari and Kelby Trusty, both of Aubrey, Texas, Candace Ann Lawrenz- Cookingham and Cory Cookingham of Frankenmuth, Mich., and Lori and Michael Sheppard of Rolla, Mo.; a brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Margaret Lawrenz of Enid; a sister and brother-in-law, Katherine and Elmer Henderson of Walters; and 14 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Roger Lawrenz. Bearers will be his grandchildren. Honorary bearers are Joey Suarez, Cody Suarez, Robert Tucker, Jeff Golay and some of Russell’s special young friends through the years.
