All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== :Resthaven Memorial Gardens--Duncan OK Duncan Banner 19 Sep 2002 Thelma McDade Thelma McDade, 91, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002, in Bivins Nursing Home in Amarillo,Texas. Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the First Baptist Church Chapel in Duncan with the Rev. Jody Hilliard officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Mrs. McDade was born July 29, 1911, in Fort Worth, to Murt and Nettie O'Dell. She married Burl McDade on June 17, 1928, in Marlow. He preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 1992. Mrs. McDade was a long time resident of Duncan, where she was a member of First Baptist Church. She was a homemaker in the truest sense of the word, who at one time was active in the Garden Club and Sewing Clubs. Survivors include Linda Merchant of Bells, Texas, Laddie McDade of Billings, Mont., and Mary Lou Frazier of Amarillo. Mrs. McDade was blessed with seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren who lovingly knew her as "Mema."
