He married Teresa Careathers on Sept. 3 1949 in Henrietta TX. He was a 1946 graduate of Bray High School and had lived in Duncan for 44 years. He retired as a truckdriver and was a member of the Parkview Baptist Church in Duncan. Survivors include his wife of the home, a son and daughter-in-law Larry and Diane Mikel of Duncan, a daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Victor Gibbs of Duncan, a grandson Brian Mikel of Duncan, a step-granddaughter Dallas Gibbs of Rush Springs. Graveside services were held in the Marlow Cemetery with Rev. Alvin McConnell officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Callaway- Smith-Cobb Funeral Home of Marlow. --------------------------------------------------------------------
