McElhanon, Jr., 79, of East Hartford, Connecticut, passed from this life July 21, 2005 at Hartford Hospital. He was born January 25, 1926 in Altus, OK. To Ode R. McElhanon, Sr. and Mary Lou Frazier. The family moved to the Central High area. On August 4, 1956 he married Lottie Dyber in East Hartford. He served two terms in the United States Army during World War II, both in the European and South Pacific Theaters. He was employed with Pratt and Whitney as a machinist and retired with 38 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Lottie, two daughters, Sharon Voorvaart and husband, Henry of North Granby,CT., and Janet McElhanon of Manteca, CA., three grandchildren and one great grandson. He also leaves four sisters and two brother- in -laws, Treasure and Berley Welch of Glen Rose,TX. Ozia Smith of Lawton Jewel Lambert of Garland, TX. Nadean and Bill Baxter of Longview, TX. and a brother and sister- in- law, T.M. and Virginia McElhanon of Marlow, and several nieces and nephews.
