All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Edna McKinzie Edna McKinzie, 92, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, Bell Avenue Chapel, 5400 Bell St., with the Rev. Hainds Laird of Spring Valley Bible Church officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. McKinzie was born in Comanche, Okla. She graduated from Central State Teachers College in Edmond, Okla. She married George McKinzie in 1928 at Prague, Okla. He died in 1990. She taught high school at Fort Cobb, Okla., for 28 years before retiring in 1969. She was a member of Fort Cobb United Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Frances Rhodes of Lawton, Okla.; a son, Howard McKinzie of Sugarland; six grandchildren; and 13 great- grandchildren.
