Jimmy Green officiating. Burial will be in Duncan City Cemetery. ========= Duncan Banner 21 Jun 2002 David ‘Dave’ Norris McReynolds David “Dave” Norris McReynolds, 49, of Duncan went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, June 19, 2002. Service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Green officiating and Beverly Brooks providing piano music. Burial will be in Duncan City Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Mr. McReynolds was born Sept. 4, 1952, in Aberdeen, Miss., to the late Jesse Will “Buck” and Marguerite Rickman McReynolds. He graduated from Duncan High School in 1970. He was an outstanding baseball player during his junior and senior years. Following graduation, he joined the Oklahoma National Guard and rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant. Mr. McReynolds work as a machinist for Halliburton Services for 28 years. He was an unconditional giver and a great dad. He loved spending time with his two sons, Matt and Brent, and his nephews and nieces. He provided care for his mother, who lived with him. He helped everyone he could and was dearly loved by his family and many friends. He was a Baptist. His hobbies included working on cars and trucks and target shooting. He was a member of the NRA and SCRAP Shooting Club. Survivors include his mother, Marguerite, of the home; two sons, Matt McReynolds and his wife, Jennifer, of Oklahoma City and Brent McReynolds and his wife, Lynette, of Duncan; two brothers, Wayne McReynolds and his wife, Pamila, of Carrollton, Texas, and Dale McReynolds of Duncan; three nephews, Chris McReynolds and his wife, Keri, of Ardmore, Jeremy McReynolds of Carrollton, and Travis McReynolds of Duncan; two nieces, Amy Haws and her husband, Nick, of Comanche, and Marcy Gibbs and her husband, Brent, of Randlett; two great-nieces and one great-nephew. He was preceded in death by his father. Bearers will be Ben Garland, Lynn Hedrick, Charles Jones, Danny Martin, Randall Scott and Daryle Schmitt.
