Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Wallace Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Brooks of First United Methodist Church at Crowell, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mr. Moody was born in Marlow, Okla. He lived in Wellington and attended schools at Samnorwood. He lived in Bakersfield, Calif., from 1963 to 1967, then he returned to Swisher County. He farmed for Austin Barrett about eight years and for Jack Brooks for 21 years. He was a Methodist. He married Mary Ball in 1992 in Duncan, Okla. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Brenda Faye Moody of Abilene, Gwendalyn Moody of Shreveport, La., and Betty Law of Plainview; two sons, Jerry Wood of Crosbyton and Billy Wood of Lubbock; two sisters, Peggy Ruth Boatwright of Lewisville and Geraldine Brown of Bend; a brother, John Henry Moody of Duncan, Okla.; and 11 grandchildren.
