All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm +========================================================================+ Duncan Banner 7 April 2003 Lenos Wesley Mitchell Lenos Wesley Mitchell, 90, of Duncan died Sunday, April 6, 2003, in Duncan. Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Duncan Cemetery under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. Lenos Wesley was born Nov. 3, 1912, in Major County, to Ralph and Verda Headrick Mitchell. He moved to Forgan in 1922. He graduated from school in 1930. He married Geraldine Plymale on Dec. 9, 1941. Mr. Mitchell worked for Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America for 36 years at the Compressor Station in Minneola, Kan., until August 1957, and then was transferred to Duncan, retiring in 1974. He was a member of the Masons in Minneola for 50 years. Survivors include his wife of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Angela Mitchell of Amarillo, Texas; two grandchildren, Holly Mitchell M.D. and Michael Mitchell and his wife, Cathy, all of Amarillo; two great- grandchildren, Avery Jordan and Camryn Ashley; three nieces; three nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
