Mitchell, Lula C.

Lula C. Mitchell, 96, of Norman, Oklahoma died Friday, January 24, 2003 in 
Norman. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday, January 
28, 2002 at the Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel in Norman. Interment will 
follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Oklahoma City, 
Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home of 
Norman. Mrs. Mitchell was born on March 8, 1906 in Velma, Oklahoma to 
William Fred and Ellen R. Barker Arnold. She moved to Oklahoma City, where 
she lived most of her adult life. She graduated from high school and 
married Thomas Mitchell. She enjoyed traveling and dining out. Lula worked 
for the Department of Public Safety, Driver License Division for twenty 
three years. She was a member of the Mayfair Church of Christ in Oklahoma 
City. She moved to Rambling Oaks Assisted Living in Norman in November of 
1999 from Oklahoma City, OK. Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her 
parents; husband; three sisters and three brothers. She is survived by a 
number of nieces and nephews, including Harry Dobbins and Aza Dobbins of 
Norman, Oklahoma. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Salvation Army 
of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
