Service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Duncan’s First Baptist Church. The Rev. Dr. Craig C. Christina will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Jody Hilliard. Burial will be at Marlow Cemetery, under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home of Marlow. She was born June 1, 1937, at Marlow to J.C. and Mae Dee Summers Barnard. She was a graduate of Duncan High School. She worked as bookkeeper for Duncan Builders Supply for 32 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Duncan. Evelyn lived most of her life in Duncan. She enjoyed cross stitch, her dog Abby, ranching, cooking and shopping. Survivors include: two sons, Jay Lynn Mullens of Oklahoma City and Jeffery Neal Mullens of Dallas; her mother, of Duncan; a brother, Jim Barnard of Duncan; two uncles and their wives, Wayne and Murl Summers of Bethany and Warren and Bonnie Barnard of Marlow; a cousin and her husband, Marlow and R.C. Coleman of Marlow; special friends Claudia Gentry, Joyce Cooper and Sonja Assiter, all of Duncan; and numerous other friends. She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.
