Service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the First United Methodist Church of Comanche with the Rev. James Kim and the Rev. Becky Baxter officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. Nic was born June 22, 1977, in Duncan, to Jim and Sherry Baxter Minter. He graduated from Comanche High School in 1996, where he was active in sports and had lots of friends. He was self-employed and was affiliated with First United Methodist Church in Comanche. Nic enjoyed fishing, video games and music, and loved playing with Chad and his nieces and cousins. Kids just seemed to be drawn to him. Survivors include his wife, Christina of the home; Chad Horschler of the home; his unborn child who is due very soon; his parents, Jim and Sherry Minter of Duncan; a brother and sister-in-law, Damon and Jamie Minter of Edmond; two nieces, Julia and Jacee Minter of Edmond; his grandparents, Bonnie and Kirby Minter of Duncan and Sue Baxter of Comanche; his great- grandmother, Ruth Nolan of Holdenville; two aunts, the Rev. Becky Baxter of Crowell and Kim Chambless and her husband, Dana, of Empire; three uncles, Reggie Minter and his wife, Shannon, of Empire, Rick Minter and his wife, Nancy, of Duncan, and Gary Coleman and his wife, Kathy, of Holdenville; six girl cousins, Cody Seely, whom he was very close to, Regina Minter, Lindsey Minter, Traci Bell and Bree and Carly Chambless; and six boy cousins, Dana Dill, Dustin Dill, Sean Crowell, Cory Minter, Brent Minter and Bryan Coleman. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, DeWayne Baxter. Bearers will be Damon Minter, Dana Dill, Dustin Dill, Sean Crowell, Jeremy Seely, Clayton Seely, Rick Hickenbottom and Jeremy Bacon. Honorary bearers are Gary Ramsey, Isaac Doyal, Todd Rollins, Cory Minter, Brent Minter, Bryan Coleman and Chad Miller.
