Service was to be at 2 p.m. today in the First United Methodist Church of Comanche with the Rev. James Kim officiating, assisted by the Rev. Becky Baxter-Crowell. Burial was to be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of on Grantham Funeral Home. Nick was born June 22, 1977, in Duncan, to Jim and Sherry Baxter Minter. Nick graduated from Comanche High School in 1996, and also attended Duncan Middle School and Woodrow Wilson Elementary. Nick cherished his family and friends, and was delighted to be a father to little Chad Holsher, with a new baby soon to come. He loved to laugh and enjoyed music, fishing, movies and being with those he loved, including nieces, nephews and cousins. Nick was employed with Goodner’s, Mitchell’s Cruz Thru and The Duncan Banner. He never forgot kind words or acts, and was fiercely loyal to his circle of loved ones. Survivors include his wife, Christina, and Chad, of the home; parents Jim and Sherry Minter of Duncan; a brother and sister-in-law, Damon and Jamie Minter, and nieces Julia and Jacee Minter of Edmond; his grandparents, Bonnie and Kirby Minter of Duncan and Sue Baxter of Comanche; and great- grandmother Ruth Nolen of Holdenville. Aunts and uncles include the Rev. Becky Baxter-Crowell, Sterling; Kim and Dana Chambless, Reggie and Shannon Minter, Empire; Rick and Nancy Minter, Duncan, and Kathy and Gary Coleman, Holdenville. He loved his cousins Cody and Jeremy Seely and Kena and Gabby, Dustin and Dana Dill, Sean Crowell, Regina Minter, Cory and Brent Minter, Bree and Carly Chambless, Bryan and Cappi Coleman and Traci and Lars Bell. He was proceeded in death by his beloved grandfather, Dewayne Baxter of Comanche. Bearers will be Damon Minter, Dana Dill, Dustin Dill, Sean Crowell, Rick Hickenbottom, Jeremy Seely, Clayton Seely and Jeremy Bacon. Honorary bearers will be Gary Ramsey, Isaac Doyal, Todd Rollins, Cory Minter, Brent Minter, Bryan Coleman, Chad Miller and Don Beck.
