He married Wanda Brown on Sept. 2, 1949 in Skellytown TX. He was a veteran of World War 11, serving in the U.S. Navy. He retired from AMOCO Production Co. and was a member of the Wesley Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife of the home, a son, Darrell Murray of Collierville, Tenn., a daughter, Karen Murray of Kansas City, MO, two brothers, Reece Murray of Broken Arrow and Nolan Murray of Tulsa, three sisters, Wanda Martin of Augusta KS., Donna Spurgeon of Wichita KS., and Bonna Conner of Penticton B.C., Canada, four grandchildren Darcie Murray of Houston TX, Brian Murray, Adam Murray and Jean Marie Sheridan, all of Memphis Tenn., and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Murray. Funeral services were in the Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Conner and the Rev. Arden Smith officiating.
