All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Rest Haven Memorial Gardens--Duncan OK Vina Lou Moore LUBBOCK - Vina Lou Moore, 84, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2003. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Carter-Smart Funeral Home in Duncan, Okla. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens at Duncan. Mrs. Moore was born on Nov. 19, 1918, in Duncan to S.J. and Montie Sisk Pinson. She grew up on the family farm northeast of Duncan. She attended Plato School and graduated from Duncan High School. She married Howard J. Moore in 1942 at Duncan. He preceded her in death in 1993. The Moores lived in Skellytown from 1949 to 1971, where Howard worked for the White Deer-Skellytown School District. Vina also worked at Skellytown Elementary School, and for many years was employed by M. E. Moses Company in Pampa. Upon Howard's retirement they moved back to Duncan. Vina worked for Duncan Regional Hospital until her retirement. She had recently lived in Tulia and Fort Worth before moving to Lubbock this year. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Survivors include her five children, Patsy of Royse City, Donna of Lubbock, Wanda of Cedar Hill, David of Mangum, Okla., and Charles of Pampa; 12 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a brother, Arthur Clay Pinson of Owasso, Okla.
