::West Side District Cemetery--Taft CA

Mary F. McCarley 1922 - 2008 Graveside funeral services will be held 
in the West Side District Cemetery on Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. 
for longtime Taft resident, Mary Frances McCarley, 86. Rev. Scott 
Pearson, pastor of First Baptist Church, will officiate. Mrs. 
McCarley was born in Duncan, Oklahoma on June 18, 1922 and passed 
away in Bakersfield on December 18, 2008. She moved to Taft in 1946 
and had been employed as a secretary and bookkeeper for the Elk Hills 
School District for over 20 years. Mrs. McCarley was a member of the 
First Baptist Church and was active in her church Circle. She enjoyed 
goofy times with her friends. Mrs. McCarley was preceded in death by 
her husband, Donald Ray McCarley, in 1981. Her survivors include her 
daughter, Margaret McCarley of Taft; her cousin, Reba Miles and her 
daughters, Sheila and Jackie and by her dog, Karma. The family has 
suggested that in lieu of flowers donations in Mrs. McCarley's name, 
may be made to your favorite charity. Friends are invited to pay 
their respects on Monday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and again on 
Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Erickson & Brown Funeral 
Home, Taft. Erickson & Brown
