All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *========================================================================* Duncan Banner 19 Jun 2003 Annabelle Younts Posey Annabelle Posey, 79, of Duncan died Wednesday, June 18, 2003, in Duncan Regional Hospital. Service will be at 9 a.m. Friday in Gatlin Baptist Church with the Rev. John Sherril officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Carter-Smart Funeral Home. Annabelle was born April 16, 1924, in Ada, to Shirley and Dollie Hall Younts. She married Walter Posey on Oct. 2, 1948, in Wichita Falls, Texas. Mrs. Posey worked in Duncan theaters, she was a beautician and an antique dealer. She and her husband enjoyed their antiques as a hobby, and she enjoyed gardening. She has been a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was very devoted to her family. Annabelle has inspired us all as a wonderful person and will be missed. Survivors include her husband, Walter Posey, of the home; a daughter, Shirley Rodgers of Duncan; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jerald Vaughn and Walter Lee and Karen Posey, all of Duncan; a sister, Louise Belshe of Duncan; two brothers, Charles Younts and J.W. Younts, both of Duncan; 10 grandchildren, David McDowell, Catherine Venette-Dunn, Billy Dunn, Brian Dunn, Anthony Rodgers, Brent Vaughn, Sonya Baugh, Jason Vaughn, Jennifer Posey and Jared Posey; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Katy Willard.
