Pittman Sr. Forrest C. Pittman Sr., 92, of Duncan died Friday, April 25, 2003, in Duncan. Service was to be at 10 a.m. today in Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Walter Russell officiating. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Elmwood Cemetery in Woodward under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. Forrest was born Oct. 14, 1910, in Leavenworth, Kan., to William C. and Opal F. Thomas Pittman. He married Louise Greer on Dec. 26, 1940, in Woodward. She preceded him in death on Nov. 14, 2002. Mr. Pittman, over the years, worked at the OSU Power Plant and Foundry, in the pattern shop of Robertson Steel in Oklahoma City, and at Halliburton Services in Research and Development in Duncan. He achieved 29 patents with Halliburton, joint and individual, in chemistry and mechanical. His hobbies included clock collecting and repair work, bird watching, intricate small machine repair work and decorative aluminum casting at his home. He would also replace and repair stained glass at the church and enjoyed assisting his wife, Louise, with innovating fixtures, china painting techniques and firing the coatings. Mr. Pittman was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He is survived by a son, Forrest C. Pittman Jr. of Marshall, Texas. Honorary bearers are Jack Hulme, Cy Jeffords, Bill Maddox, Frances Anderson, George Copeland, Sam Northington, Joe Herndon, Benny Miers, Dan Green, Mike Green, Bob Diggs Brown, Henry Clay, Bruce Blackman, Arch Brashiears, Carl Zimmerman, Jerry Whitten, Bob Krammerer, Gary Wainscott, Don Bauman, Artie Bryant and Rus King.
