He was a resident of Duncan since 1945, a veteran of World War II, a retired tax accountant and a member of the Assumption Catholic Church. He married Mary Roberta Weir on Feb. 18 1941 in Holy Name Catholic Church in Chickasha. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Jack Alexander of Marble Falls TX, and Judy and Kent Hall of Duncan, a sister and brother-in-law, Willie and Bill Sandwell of Duncan, a sister-in-law Josephine Zurline of Maysville, a daughter-in-law, Skeeter Powers of Duncan, 14 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, a daughter, Vicki Davis of Ridgecrest CA, a son Victor H. Powers III of Duncan and three brothers, Lloyd Powers, Roy Powers, and J.S. Powers. Funeral mass was in the Assumption Catholic Church with Father James Rapp as celebrant. Prayer service was at Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel Burial was in the Duncan Cemetery. --------------------------------------------------------------------
