Price Delbert D. Price, 80, of Duncan, died Saturday, March 29, 2003, in Lawton. Service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Eastside Church of Christ with Ron Stough and Haskell England officiating. Burial will be in Truce Cemetery in Truce, Texas, under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Delbert was born Oct. 24, 1922, in Henrietta, Texas, to T.L. and Alice Tate Price. He and Velma married on Feb. 2, 1946, in Fort Worth, Texas. Mr. Price was a former Wichita Falls, Texas, resident. He served in World War II with the United States Army in the Pacific Theatre from 1943 to 1946. He retired from Cummins Southern Plains as a diesel mechanic in 1986. He was an avid fisherman. Mr. Price was a member, former Deacon and Elder of Eastside Church of Christ. He was a very devoted Christian. Survivors include his wife, Velma L. Price, of the home; a son, Roger Price of Duncan; two brothers, Carroll Price of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Thurman Price of Angleton, Texas; three grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Weedn in 1971, and three brothers, Elbert, Paul and Raymond Price.
