Service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Prothro was born Feb. 18, 1925, in Stephens, Ark., to Moscar and Lois Poindexter Renfro. She married Ray A. Prothro Aug. 20, 1951, in Shreveport, La. Mrs. Prothro was a homemaker and a member of New Hope Baptist Church West. Survivors include her husband, Ray, of the home; two sons, Dennis Prothro Sr. and Larry Prothro both of Salina, Kan.; two sisters, Maudie Hodges and Peggy Kimmery both of Smackover, Ark.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
