All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::St. Peter's Cemetery--Fresno CA Janice Joy Pifferini passed away on Friday, May 11, 2007, in Fresno, surrounded by her family. Janice was born on February 21, 1930, in Duncan, Oklahoma. She was the youngest of three children. In 1944, the family relocated to Halfway, California, where their father worked as a pipe fitter for the Tidewater Associated Oil Company. Janice en-rolled at Tranquillity High School where she graduated in 1947. Janice was married to Arthur Pifferini for over 25 years. They reared four children at their home in San Joaquin where Art ran his family farm. The family would like to thank the staff at Sunrise Assisted Living for the wonderful care they provided Janice this past year. In addition, thanks to the staff members of St. Agnes Hospice for keeping Janice comfortable. Janice was preceded in death by her parents Ila May and Lance Burton Watson. She is survived by her four children; Paula Car-valho and her husband Bill of Kerman, Larry Pifferini and his wife Susan of Fresno; Gail Pifferini of Fresno, and Brian Pifferini and his life partner Brian Putler of Sacramento. She was the loving grandmother of Cory Carvalho and his wife Brie of Kerman, Matthew Carvalho of San Luis Obispo, Caela Beene of Seattle, Ryan Beene of Fresno, and Andrew Pif-ferini of Fresno, and great- grandmother of Meryn Carvalho. Her sister Norma Costello and her brother Keith Watson, his wife Wanda, and many nieces and nephews also survive her. She leaves behind her beloved cat and com-panion, Missy. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at The Shrine of St. Therese Cath-olic Church, 855 E. Flora-dora Ave., on Thursday, May 17, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Nazareth House, 2121 N. First St., Fresno, CA 93703 or the charity of your choice.
