Jewell M. Ray of Duncan (Stephens Co.) born March 30 1911 in Love 
Co. to William Thomas and Maudie Victoria Beam Harris, died in 
Wilkins Nursing Home Jan 18, 2001 at the age of 89. 

She married Edward K. Ray on Nov. 8, 1967 in Ardmore. 

She was a nursing home cook and volunteered as a cook for the Duncan 
Rescue Mission for many years. She attended the Bethel Assembly of 
God Church. 

Survivors include a daughter, Glenda "Terry" Bowers of Duncan, three 
grandchildren, Andy Tidwell, Donna Rodriguez and Melanie Carman, all 
of Duncan, five great-grandchildren, Aaron Tidwell of Lone Grove, 
Zack Rodriguez, Laura Rodriguez, Jay Drewery and Dara Carman, all of 
Duncan, a brother, Lloyd Harris of Comanche, and a sister, Ruby 
Alsup of Duncan, 

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Alta Brown and a 
great-grandson Bobby James Tidwell. Funeral services were in the 
Bailes-Polk Funeral Home Chapel with Clyde Headly officiating. 

Burial was in the Duncan Cemetery.
