Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Duncan Cemetery, with the Rev. John Douthitt and the Rev. David Spangler officiating. David was born Aug. 31, 1914, in Foard County, Texas, to Robert R. and Hattie M. Wade Rochell. He was a farmer and formerly worked as a mechanic for Byerly-Rogers car dealership. He married Esther Mae Whitaker on Dec. 23, 1937, in Idabel. She preceded him in death on Oct. 11, 1998. He was a Baptist. Survivors include three sons, David T. Rochell, Ron Rochell and Bill Rochell, all of Duncan; a sister, Bernice Carter of Crossville, Ill.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Rita Mae Rochell; and two brothers, R.D. Rochell and Clifton Rochell. His grandsons and nephews will be honorary pallbearers.
