All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== :Marlow Cemetery--Marlow OK Duncan Banner 09 Sep 2002 Mike Lucas Rogers MARLOW — Mike Lucas Rogers of Marlow went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2002, in his home in Marlow. Service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Marlow with the Rev. Joe Ligon officiating. Burial will be in Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home of Marlow. Mr. Rogers was born Nov. 30, 1924, in Grainola to John Sanders and Laura DuBois Rogers. He married Juanita Lamb on Oct. 4, 1945, in Sedan, Kan. Mr. Rogers retired from Oklahoma Corporation in 1987. He had also worked as an L.P. Gas Inspector for nine years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and after retirement traveled and camped. He and his wife belonged to a number of camping clubs. They belonged to the Rolling Rocker’s, a national retiree club of which he was President for two years; R.R. Sam’s; FCRV; and Good Sam clubs. Mr. Rogers was a member of First Baptist Church and Fidelity Sunday school. He was a 32nd degree Mason and member of Marlow Lodge No.103. He was a wonderful husband, dad, granddad and great-granddad. Survivors include his wife, Juanita, of the home; a son and daughter-in- law, Mikel James and Karen Coody Rogers; two granddaughters, Michelle and Julie; a great-granddaughter, Caitlynn; a brother-in-law, Gene W. Lamb and his wife, Darla; four nieces, Iravline Kennedy, Judy Phares, Sharon Thompson and Kathy; three nephews, David Lamb, Bill Vincent and Bob McCarter; many great-nieces and nephews; and a host of dear friends. Bearers will be Harold Sorrell, Bill Walls, Bob Sellers, Dan Daley, Greg Phares and Bob Hill. Honorary bearers are Wayne White, Jake Kimbro, Bill Clark, the Fidelity Sunday School Class, R.J.
