Ridlinghafer Service for Dessie J. Ridlinghafer, 94, of Duncan, who died today in Duncan, is pending with Don Grantham Funeral Home. ========= Duncan Banner 09 May 2003 Dessie M. Ridlinghafer Dessie M. Ridlinghafer, 94, of Duncan died Thursday, May 8, 2003, in Duncan. Service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in First Presbyterian Church with Dr. John McGarey officiating. Burial will be in Duncan City Cemetery under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. Dessie was born Jan. 6, 1909, in Stephens County to John Witt and Mary Alice Springer Jarrett. She married Vernon William Ridlinghafer on Jan. 6, 1939. He preceded her in death on Feb. 11, 1994. Mrs. Ridlinghafer was a homemaker. She attended Central State Teachers College and was a substitute teacher over a period of time. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Colleen and Pat Winn of Duncan and D. Jane and Norman Akins of Arlington, Texas; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Bill R. and Cassandra Ridlinghafer of Tucson, Ariz., Charles V. and Penne Ridlinghafer of Oklahoma City, and Ralph Ridlinghafer of Duncan; two sisters-in-law, Jeneva Calhoun of Duncan and Eva Lilley of Hastings; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and was the last survivor of 13 brothers and sisters. Bearers will be Charlie Coker, Chip Woods, Kenneth Adkins, Jack Munn and Lonnie Helms.
