"Mrs. Ritter Found Dead at Home Tuesday Mrs. Lula Virginia Ritter, 77, was found dead at her home at 208 East Arapahoe on Tuesday about 1:30 pm. Mrs. G.J. Robertson of Route one found her mother still dressed in night clothes, sitting in a rocking chair in front of the heating stove. Mrs. Robertson had gone to her mother's home after receiving no response from seveal phone calls made during the morning. The attending physician estimated that death caused by a heart attack occurred sometime after midnight during the early morning hours. Born in Arkansas on November 11, 1890. Mrs. Ritter had lived here since 1921. She moved to Marlow from Allen. Her marriage to James Robert Ritter was on February 28, 1897 at Beebe, Oklahoma. He died in 1932. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include 3 daughters; Mrs. Robertson of Marlow; Mrs. C.M. Hardy of Lawton, and Mrs. A.D. Cheatwood of Slaton, Texas; 2 sons, Marvin of Marlow and Bill of Lawton; 15 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. Also 3 sister; Mrs. Mae Slaughter and Mrs. Henry Ambury of Konowa and Mrs. Billy Armstrong of Ada; one brother Ira Neal of Chattanooga; her stepmother Mrs. Fannie Neal of Oklahoma City; 3 half sisters, Lexie Neal, Mrs. Eunice Tate and Mrs. Zelma Lowery and a half brother, Gene Neal all of Oklahoma City. Services were held in the First Baptist Church on Wednesday at 2:30 pm conducted by the pastor Rev. Bob Harris. Burial was i the Marlow Cemetery with Callaway-Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Grandsons served as pallbearers"
