Beloved husband, brother, son-in-law, friend and co-worker, we grieve at his loss. Les was a gentle man with a great joy and love of life. He always had a smile and kind word for everyone and will be sorely missed by all. Les leaves behind his loving wife, Janna Lee Scott who has adored him for over 14 years; a sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Dwayne Gibson of Pinetop; and niece, Layla of Tucson. He also leaves behind his parents-in-law, W.A. and Janet Scott of Payson; as well as his brothers and sisters-in-law, William Scott of Denver, his daughter Alexandria; Nancy Scott of Ft. Wingate, her daughter Stephanie Jones and great-niece, Desirea of Payson; Michaelene Scott and David Medlock of Austin, Texas and their children, Diana, Michael, Destiny, Lilly and Hannah; Louis and Raquel Scott of Yuma and their daughter, Natalie, and Tim and Diane Scott of Payson, Arizona. He also leaves behind many beloved friends and co- workers too numerous to mention. Les was preceded in death by his mother, Wilma Rose Reese. Les was born in Comanche, Oklahoma and moved to Sierra Vista at the age of two. He graduated from Sierra Vista High School in 1974 and attended the University of Arizona. He was the films committee chairman of Desert Con IV, in 1975-76 which developed into a life-long love of literature, writing, and gaming. As an avid military gamer, and a member of the U of A gaming club, he painted miniature gaming pieces in his leisure. Les was a founding member of the Arizona Medieval Society (AMS) and participated in an ambitious reenactment of Coronado's trek through Arizona in the 16th Century. Les was an avid hiker and loved to explore the ghost towns, caves and regions of the desert southwest. Les was passionate about literature, especially writing and was a novelist and a published short story author. Les also loved railroads and hoped to one day ride all the railroads in Colorado. Les was an employee at University Medical Center where he had worked for over 20 years in the department of Radiology. A memorial service and Celebration of Life get together is planned for Saturday October 13, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at Unity of Tucson, 3617 North Camino Blanco.
