All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Llano Cemetery--Amarillo TX Aulne Marlin Rice Aulne Marlin Rice, 90, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2000. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Robison Chapel of the Plains, First Christian Church with the Rev. Marvin James, minister of family life, and the Rev. John S. Andrews, minister of spiritual life, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Rice was born in Marlow, Okla., and had lived in Amarillo since 1936. She and her husband, Homer, owned and operated Rice's Dining Restaurant for 31 years, retiring in 1978. Mrs. Rice was a member of the Quilting Club, First Christian Church and Christian Women's Fellowship. She played the piano for the Congenial Couples Class for 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1995. Survivors include two sons, Dr. Edwin Rice of Edmond, Okla., and Robert Rice of San Antonio; two sisters, LaVerne Lawley of Oklahoma City and Jane Wilson of Lawton, Okla.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family suggest memorials be to First Christian Church, 3001 Wolflin, Amarillo, TX 79109.
