All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Duncan Banner 31 Jan 2003 Naomi McGee Seuberth Naomi McGee Seuberth, 88, a longtime resident of Duncan died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003, in St. Simeon's Episcopal Home in Tulsa. Service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church with Dr. Randy L. Scraper officiating. Burial will be in Duncan Cemetery under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Naomi was born May 6, 1914, in Okemah, to Samuel T. and Sarah Jane McGee. She was one of 13 children of whom two sisters are living - Alma M. Dotson also of St. Simeon's and Edna M. Barnes of Rosedale. Naomi graduated from Okemah High School in 1943, and earned her degree in education from East Central State Teachers College in Ada. She was a devoted elementary school teacher in Duncan for 40 years at Emerson and Mark Twain Elementary schools. She will be remembered by the many Duncan children who enjoyed third-grade in her classroom. Naomi married Ross L. Seuberth on June 16, 1948. Ross retired as office manager of the Dixie Store and died in July 1996. The Seuberth's were members of First United Methodist Church. She was a wonderful aunt to her many nieces and nephews and will be remembered by a host of friends and former pupils.
