All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== :Marlow Cemetery--Marlow OK Marlow Review 29 Mar 2005 Lifelong Marlow resident, Eula Pearl (Carter) Scott, 89, passed away Monday, March 28, 2005, in Oklahoma City. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, April 1, at the First United Methodist Church in Marlow, with the Rev. Terry Koehn and the Gov. Bill Anoatubby officiating. Burial will be held in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home. Born Dec. 9, 1915, to George W. Carter and Lucy Gibson, in Marlow, she served as a Community Health Representative and was the first woman Legislator for the Chickasaw Nation. She was also a member of the Marlow Chamber of Commerce, VFW Auxillary and the OX5 Aviation Pioneers. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Carter Scott; and two sisters, Opaletta Williamson and Arnetta Brooks. Survivors include, a son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Linda Scott of Boyce, VA; a daughter, Louise Thompson of Florence, Ala.; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Other survivors include, a brother, George W. Carter, Jr. of Marlow. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Billy Thompson, Guy Thompson, Craig Thompson, Bryan Scott, Bradley Scott, and Carl Scott. Honorary pallbearers will be John Herrington, Gov. Bill Anoatubby, Gov. Overton James, Gary Childers, Sen. Ray McCarter, Sen. Sam Helton, Harbour Whitaker, Jack Graves, Bill Renfrow, Penn Rabb, Bob Williamson, Dan Williamson, Art Williamson, Bob Hill, Kenny Gilmore, and D.B.
