Service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church in Comanche with Gary Smith and Tom Hibbitts officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Comanche. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Madge was born Aug. 13,1918, in Elk City to George and Maggie Hughes. She married J.R. Stephenson on Jan. 21, 1939, in Comanche, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 13, 1978. She was the owner and operator of Stephenson’s Mill End Fabrics. She was a member of the Rebekkas, Lions Club, Chamber of Commerce and the Women’s Business Association. Survivors include two sons, Robert Stephenson and his wife, Marsha, of Oklahoma City and Kenneth Stephenson and his wife, April, of Haughton, La.; a brother, G.T. Hughes of Lubbock, Texas; three sisters, Marguerite Green of Waco, Texas, Maggie Belle Mitchell of Hobbs, N.M., and Avis Krykendale of Crosbetin, Texas; four grandchildren, Robert Hannah, Sean Hannah, Amanda Quintana and Todd Mattney; and three great-grandchildren, Caleb, Harrison and Bo. She is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Maxine Stephenson; and a brother, Charles Arthur Hughes. Bearers will be Dee Watson, Jerry Kinder, Jerry Presgrove, Dan Randolph, Charlie Creech, Omer Floyd, Steve Quintana and Todd Matney. Honorary bearers are Ramon Anderson, C.P. Watson, Bob Grundy, Tom Hibbitts and Elton McClennen.
