Willard McCartney, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery with Clagg Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Born December 26, 1918 in Velma to Claude Dee Stevens, Sr. and Willie Pearl Fletcher Stevens, he died Saturday, Dec. 23 in Sulphur. He married Angie Brown on July 6, 1940 in Sunshine, Okla. He lived in Murray County most of his life and worked in farming and construction before beginning a job for the Murray County Commissioners, District 1 for eight and one-half years. He was affiliated with the Midway Hill Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Angie, Sulphur; a daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Denny Hudson, Oklahoma City; a son and daughter-in-law, Carol Don and Betty Stevens, Coalgate; a sister, Dollie Harvey, Ada; six grandchildren, Corey and Melissa Stevens and Tammy Stevens, all of Sulphur and Steve, Rodney and Tyler Hudson, Oklahoma City and one great grandchild, Mallorey Dawn Stevens, Sulphur. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son and daughter-in-law, Darrel and Darline Stevens; three brothers, D. R., Orval and Hugh Stevens and two sisters, Connie Meridith and Margie Swanson. Pallbearers will be Billy Frank Lance, Don Brown, Scott Kirby, Randall Pennypacker, Charlie Brown and Myrle Stevens. Honorary bearers will be Richard Chadwick, Jack Thornton, J. C.
