Stuckert, 82, of Duncan died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, in Duncan. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Old Post Cemetery at Fort Sill. Burial will be under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. John was born July 4, 1920, in Monrovia, Kan., to Sterling and Ola Belle Swendson Stuckert. He married Lillie Mary Lewis on March 8, 1941, in Little Rock, Ark. She preceded him in death on July 20, 2002. Mr. Stuckert was a retired Lieutenant Colonel, serving in the United States Army. He entered the service from the Kansas National Guard, serving during World War II in North Africa and Europe, then again returned to active duty during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Association of United States Army (AUSA) and Society of Logistical Engineers (SOLE). He was a member of the Methodist church. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Flo Stuckert of Duncan; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Bearers will be the Honor Team of the United States Army.
