All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Duncan Banner 17 Dec 2002 Stinson, Bill MARLOW — Bill Stinson, 72, of Marlow died Monday, Dec. 16, 2002, in Duncan Regional Hospital. Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Kent Strahan, the Rev. Joe Ligon and Jack Graves officiating. Burial will be in Marlow Cemetery. Mr. Stinson was born Feb. 14, 1930, in Chickasha, to Alva and Gracie Mae Bates Stinson. He married Mozelle Barker-Patterson on May 21, 1966, in Marlow. Mr. Stinson lived in the Marlow area for 40 years and was a 1948 graduate of Sayre High School. He played football at Oklahoma A & M and graduated from the College of Pharmacy in Weatherford. He served in the United States Navy in Korea. He retired in 1994 as a pharmacist after 45 years. He loved fishing with his wife and family and enjoyed gardening, golf and all other sports. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife of Marlow; a son, Harold Patterson of Stillwater; five daughters, Sissy Black and Debbie Lindsey, both of Marlow, Valerie Stinson of Houston, Texas, Vicky Dewees of Oklahoma City, and Roxie Gwartney of Strong City; nine grandchildren; and seven great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters and a grandchild.
