All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== The Bakersfield Californian Tuesdan, 20 September 2005 RAY DEWAYNE STINNETT (WAYNE) 1942 - 2005 Ray Dewayne (Wayne) Stinnett was born in Duncan, OK, December 24, 1942 and died in Bakersfield, CA, on September 17. He graduated high school in Arbuckle, CA where he won a football scholarship to Arkansas State College. He married Patricia Cantwell in 1963 and had three sons. We worked 40 years in the oilfields all over California for Pool, Cleveland Drilling, Marlin and others. He ended his career with Hazmat. He married Linda Swanson in 1984. He loved vintage cars and was restoring his 1956 Chevy Bel Air. He also enjoyed basketball, golf, fishing and camping. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lecie Mae Wells and his younger brother, Johnny Stinnett. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Linda; 3 sons, Ronnie, Robert and Rickey, all of Bakersfield; his father, Ray Stinnett and a brother, Garland Stinnett, both of Duncan, OK; and 3 granddaughters, Samantha, Sabrina and Alyssa, all of Bakersfield. Visitation begins Wednesday, September 21, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. in Mission Family Mortuary at California and "S" Streets.
