Sallee, of Marlow, born Oct. 9 1923 in Rush Springs, died March 12 1999 in Duncan Regional Hospital. He married Billie Lynch on June 6 1946 in Wichita Falls TX. He served in the U.S. Army and later in the U.S. Navy during the Second World War. Re received the American Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and the World War two Victory Medal. He operated several service stations and trained horses. He was a Methodist and a member of VFW Post # 5263 and was involved in several saddle clubs. Survivors include his wife of the home, a daughter Letha Lewis , two sons, Dwight L. Sallee and Larry L. Sallee, grandchildren (daughters children) Gary Coakley, Cathy Suson, Tracy Carbaugh, and Kathy Sliker, (son Dwight's children) Laura Turnbull, Shannon Strickland, Jaren Sallee, and Matthew Hobbs, (son Larry's children) Larry L. Sallee, Jr., Jerry Sallee, Leland Sallee, three sisters, Ladine Shaw of Lawton, Julena McDonald of Vernal Utah, and Leda Joyce Jensen of Dumfries VA, 134 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother F.L. Sallee. Funeral services were held in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Vivian Garza of the Antioch Baptist Church officiating.
