Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, at Callaway-Smith- Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Croswell officiating. Burial was held in the Marlow Cemetery. Born August 19, 1922, to Wesley and Everett (Turner) Hadlock in Garvin County, she lived in Marlow area all of her life. Mrs. Shelton graduated from Burris High School and was a nurse for Gregston Nursing Home. On May 18, 1946, she married Willie Newton “Bill” Shelton in Duncan, he preceded her in death on April 8, 1988. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include a step-daughter Robbie Meadows of Ft. Worth, TX; a step- son Billy Shelton of Marlow; seven grandchildren; and eight great- grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers were Jerry Blackburn; Jerome McCalvin; Jimmy Blackburn; Virgle Richards; Vernal Rowland; and Warren Killgore.
