He had been ill two weeks. Shilling lived east of Marlow on the east star route. Shilling was born September 6, 1871, in Lee County, Tex., and came to Marlow 46 years ago. Since that time he has lived in that area. He is survived by the widow, 5 daughters, and 3 sons. They are Mrs. Ira Vestal, Mrs. C. G. Clements, Charley Shilling, and George Shilling, all of Marlow; Mrs. L. E. Hanley and Mrs. C. W. Worth, both of El Reno; Mrs. Hallie Mercing, Kansas; and Melvin Shilling, on duty with the Navy. The Steele Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements which will be announced later.
