He attended Drumright High School class of 1951. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict and a retired employee of Atlantic Richfield Oil Co. He had lived in the Marlow area since 1974. He married Dorothy Fiechtl on Dec. 24 1953 in Independence KS. Survivors include his wife of the home, two daughters and sons-in- law Vicki and Mark Walters of Duncan and Heidi and Tony Appling of Mustang. a son and daughter-in-law Randy and Cleta Salmon of Chickasha, four grandchildren, a sister Dorothy Caldwell of Drumright and a brother Buck Salmon of Garber. Graveside services were in the Marlow Cemetery with Jon Hosch officiating. Burial was under the direction of the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home of Marlow. --------------------------------------------------------------------
