O.O. Sampson, Ex-Duncanite, Dies in Dallas O.O. Sampson, son of the late Judge J.P. Sampson, former owner of the Duncan Banner, died Tuesday morning in Dallas, where he had resided for a year. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the First Methodist Church in Duncan. The Rev. A.W. Coleman, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Duncan Cemetery. Sampson was a longtime resident of Duncan. He was born April 25, 1880 in Gainsville, Texas, and was a retired building contractor. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Willbanks of Dallas and Mrs. marlon L. Collier of Lubbock; a son, R.B. Sampson, 316 South 10th; a niece, Mary Lois Sampson of Dallas, a native of Duncan; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
