All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Duncan Banner 19 Dec 2002 Singleton, Harvey Cleo Service for Harvey Cleo Singleton, 92, of Duncan, who died today in Duncan, is pending with Don Grantham Funeral Home. ========= Duncan Banner 20 Dec 2002 Singleton, Harvey Cleo Harvey Cleo Singleton, 92, of Duncan died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2002, in Duncan. Service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Chisholm Trail Church of Christ with Leonard Keele officiating. Burial will be in Duncan City Cemetery under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. Mr. Singleton was born Dec. 20, 1909, in Atwood, to L.C. and Cora Gifford Singleton. He married Flossie Connor on Aug. 12, 1934, and she preceded him in death on May 22, 1983. He later married Pearl Timmons on Nov. 28, 1985, and she preceded him in death on Aug. 28, 1989. Mr. Singleton was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Navy. He was retired from Sun Oil Company. He was a member of the American Legion. Mr. Singleton was an Elder at Northside Church of Christ and a member of Chisholm Trail Church of Christ. Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Avenell and Jim Fanning of Del City, and Lawanda Thornton of Duncan; a son and daughter-in-law, Bentley and Glenda Singleton of Duncan; step children, Bobbie Timmons and Kay Pennington, of Kansas, and Gloretta Rhodes of Missouri; a brother, Clarence Singleton and his wife, Arlene, of Oklahoma City; a sister-in- law, Marie Merrell and her husband, Pete, of Holdenville; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death his parents, three brothers and three sisters. Bearers will be Ken Singleton, Gary Singleton, Jerry Singleton, Tim Fanning and Chance Winslett.
