::Panhandle Cemetery--Panhandle TX

PANHANDLE - Mildred Bentley Smith, 73, died Saturday, May 1, 1999. 
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church 
with the Rev. Les Hall, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in 
Panhandle Cemetery by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle. 
Mrs. Smith was born in Marlow, Okla., and graduated from Rush Springs 
High School in 1944. During World War II, she worked in the Pentagon. 
She was a lifetime member of the Texas ParentsTeachers Association and 
had been a Panhandle resident since 1992. Survivors include her 
husband, Henry Smith; two sons, Duane C. Smith of Panhandle and 
Kenneth Smith of Marcos, Calif.; a sister, Georgia Becker of Columbia, 
Md.; and six grandchildren.
