There will be no visitation at the funeral home. ========= Duncan Banner 25 Jun 2002 Leroy Levi Snodgrass Leroy Levi Snodgrass, 71, of Duncan, has finally won his battle with a lengthy illness and has gone home to rest with the Lord. He died Monday, June 24, 2002. Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel. The family will meet at the home of Robin and Jimmy Rochell, 915 N. 60th, Duncan. Mr. Snodgrass was born April 22, 1931, in Garden City, Kan. He spent four years serving his country in the Air Force during the Korean conflict. After leaving the Air Force he moved to the Texas panhandle where he met and married his wife of 45 years. Mr. Snodgrass worked for Skelly Oil Company and Russell Electric. In 1975, he and his family moved to Duncan where he spent the next 18 years working in Velma for Skelly Oil Company, Getty Oil Company and Texaco Oil Company. He retired from Texaco in 1993. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Barbara; his mother of Kansas; four daughters and sons-in-laws, Robin and Jimmy Rochell and Beatrice and Bill Rochell all of Duncan, Laura and Scott Kennedy of Comanche, and Marla and Steve Sleeker of Oklahoma City; a brother of Kansas; two sisters of Kansas; nine grandchildren, Josh, Brittney and Katie Rochell and Jodi Williams all of Duncan, Chris and Cory Blumer, Kim Clement, TyLee McKeown and Megan Sleeker; and five great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his father and many very dear friends. Leroy will be missed beyond words by a multitude of loving friends and family members. Memorial contributions may be made to New Hope Baptist Church West Building Fund, 5450 W.
