Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, March 28, at Callaway-Smith- Cobb Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lamont Henderson officiating. Burial was held in the Marlow Cemetery. Born May 16, 1916, to John and Lillie (Boware) Stanford, in Clinton, she loved playing bingo, going to garage sales and collecting dolls. On Jan. 1, 1934, she married James Sanders, in Levelland, Texas, he preceded her in death on June 17, 1990. She was also preceded in death by a son, Claude Sanders; and two daughters, Emma Vanderver, and Retha Grajida. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, James and Marsha Sanders of Marlow; a daughter and son-in-law, Ruby and John Rogers of Rockdale, Texas; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. Other survivors include, a sister, Juanita Christian of Ft. Worth, Texas; and two brothers and a sister-in-law, Dennis and Margaret Stanford of Burleson, Texas and Claude Stanford of Marshall, Texas. Pallbearers were Bo Sanders, Jeff Neimann, Thomas Rogers, Anthony Sanders, Michael Bobbit, and Don Lassiter.
